Michelin launches ‘TyrePlus’ store in Vashi

-Expands distribution footprint in Navi Mumbai with the opening of second State-of-the-art concept store

Vashi, July 12, 2011: Michelin Tyres, the world leader in tyre technology announced the launch of its concept store ‘TyrePlus’ in Vashi today. Through this new touch point at Grip Sales Pvt Ltd; Michelin will bring to the city a state-of-the art retail experience for consumers. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Chandan Thakur, National Sales Manager – Passenger Car, Michelin India and Mr. Gurbakshish Singh Madan, Owner Grip Sales Pvt Ltd. along with other officials & guests.

Spread over a total area of around 1700 sq ft, the TYREPLUS store is located centrally at a premium location, opposite Blue Diamond Hotel in Vashi. The showroom has a pleasant ambience and an innovative display of Tyres and accessories. It also has a workshop, fully-equipped with latest machinery to handle all tyre and vehicle related services, an exercise undertaken by Michelin Tyres for all its TYREPLUS outlets across the world. The store has a strong team of 10 executives all trained in required technical skills. As part of the TYREPLUS Programme, Michelin would also provide the team with scheduled trainings encompassing product, soft and management skills etc.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Chandan Thakur, National Sales Manager – Passenger Car, Michelin India said, “The Indian auto industry is witnessing tremendous growth.
